How long have you been a maker? Since I was a kid! A born tinkerer!
Where did you learn the skills you use in the workshop? Learned from others and self taught. Have worked in the trades for most of my life.
What was your most recent project? I’ve been experimenting with making things out of re-purposed wood. I made an outhouse for a garden 100% out of pallets, a coffee table out of a families’ 1800’s barn wood and a master bathroom vanity out of original oak flooring (that was going to be thrown away) for a house being remodeled. I try to make something personal out of the clients very own scrap wood whenever I can!
What do you look forward to doing at MAKEcation 2015? Anything and everything! Love to demo the latest tools along with learning more from those who put on MAKEcation. You can never stop learning new ways to create things and I always try to share what I know with others as well. I always think outside the box and I love everything about the philosophy and spirit of the MAKEcation!
What’s your favorite part of the new Craftsman Club? Very informative and user friendly. I am always looking on the site to see what is going on and to keep on top of the latest things!
